When Bahrudin and Zara were summoned to the Maltese Consulate in Dubai, Bahrudin could never imagine how the news and his response would affect the family. One selfish decision would mean… Ignition is Imminent!
Pre-Comic Notes:
Review Issues 192 and 194 to put the Dhumzur family's (self-inflicted)
woes in context.
Post-Comic
Notes:
One of the
things I learned from watching countless YouTube videos on getting a second
citizenship in Malta is that if you fail the background check, you can expect
to be rejected for dual citizenship in all the other Schengen Zone nations as
well. (Why would they want someone who was rejected there?)
Yes, you do forfeit your investment for MEIN ("Maltese Exceptional Investor Naturalisation") if you fail your background check.
The Speed Limit outside Abu Dhabi is 140 KPH, with a 20 KPH buffer above that. If you do the math, you can understand why Zara is alarmed.
One thing to note: Bahrudin's phone monitoring software is illegal in the UAE. Even a spouse can get three years in jail and a fine ranging from AED 100,000 to 300,000 ($27,225.70 to $81677.10).
While I don't claim to know all Muslim views out there, the Muslim scholars I could find on the topic would argue that Sumeja is wrong to ask Bahrudin to divorce Zara. How they would see Bahrudin's decision to give up on Kismetta is much less clear. Some support it. Others oppose it. Islam is not a monolith.
I don't want anyone to assume that Bahrudin and Zara act as they do BECAUSE they are Muslim. They act this way because they're arrogantly wealthy. This is simply the first time his wealth couldn’t change things.
